In order to implement the environmental protection law of the people's Republic of China and the law of the people's Republic of China on the prevention and control of environmental pollution by solid waste, improve the quality of ecological environment, prevent and control environmental pollution, and standardize the environmental management of solid waste, Pollution control standards for storage and landfill of general industrial solid waste, pollution control standards for incineration of hazardous waste and pollution control standards for treatment and disposal of medical waste are approved as national solid waste pollution control standards, which are jointly issued by the Ministry of ecological environment and the State Administration of market supervision.

The name and number of the standard are as follows:

1、 Pollution control standard for storage and landfill of general industrial solid waste (GB 18599-2020)

2、 Pollution control standard for hazardous waste incineration (GB 18484-2020)

3、 Pollution control standard for treatment and disposal of medical waste (GB 39707-2020)

According to the law, the above standards have the effect of enforcement.

The above standards will be implemented on July 1, 2021, and the pollution control standards for general industrial solid waste storage and disposal sites (GB 18599-2001) and hazardous waste incineration (GB 18484-2001) will be abolished.
