The new standard is formulated timely and implemented according to our ability, which provides a new standard for further standardizing the treatment and disposal of industrial solid waste in China.     The revision of the new standard is timely

    The person in charge said that since the implementation of the current "general solid waste standard" and "hazardous waste standard" in 2001, they have played an important role in pollution control and environmental risk prevention and control of general industrial solid waste and hazardous waste disposal.     The reporter learned that the main contents of the revision of the general solid waste standard include three points. The first is to focus on the positioning of environmental standards, further strengthen the technical requirements for pollution control in the whole process of general industrial solid waste storage and landfill, tighten the anti-seepage technical regulations, and increase the requirements for organic matter content control in waste admission, leachate treatment after site closure, and self monitoring of surface water and soil. Second, in order to promote the comprehensive utilization of large amount of general industrial solid waste, the conditions of filling and backfilling were clarified, and the corresponding technical requirements for pollution control were added. The third is to clarify the environmental management requirements of the historical storage site of general industrial solid waste. According to the idea of risk management and control, it is clear that the site can be closed or the land can be reclaimed under the condition of controllable risk.

    The main contents of the revision of the hazardous waste standard include: first, due to the simultaneous development of the new medical waste standard and the release of the pollution control standard for PCBs containing wastes, the scope of application of the standard has been adjusted and the contents related to the incineration of PCBs containing wastes and medical wastes have been deleted.
